Design is more than a job for me. It is like a disease. I have to be creating. It doesn't always happen with Adobe but often times with paper, scissors, wood, saws, paint, glue and whatever I got around the house. Luckily my wife, Christina, shares this same passion, and we have a room dedicated to paper, printers, paints and all types of craft tools. Not to mention the cars barely fit in the garage because of the heavy duty tools.
I have worked off and on over the course of 14 years in cabinet shops and consider remodeling a part-time gig as we are on our second house flip. I have many loves in life. My first might include the outdoors and adventures. As a kid I wouldn't go anywhere without my He-Man sword tucked into the back of my shirt and a pair of yellow binoculars around my neck. Now I enjoy mountain biking, hiking and a little top roping (rock climbing). I am also considered a "gear head" for I love outdoor gear whether it gets used or not. Above all, I enjoy spending time with my wife Christina and my new little daughter, Josie Joy.
I couldn't imagine doing anything but graphic design. It seemed like a good fit since I have always loved tech and art. I attended the competitive BFA program at the University of Utah. I paid for every penny of it while working in a custom cabinet shop and as an operations manager over two school facilities. I gained design experience early on by working on small freelance projects and while working for the student government (U of U) as a designer.
I enjoy all types of media and love trying new things from traditional design to high tech and innovative platforms. Please reach out if you'd like to work together.
