Design is more than a job for me. It is like a disease. I have to be creating. It doesn't always happen with Adobe but often times with paper, scissors, wood, saws, paint, glue and whatever I got around the house. Luckily my wife, Christina, shares this same passion, and we have a room dedicated to paper, printers, paints and all types of craft supplies. Not to mention the cars barely fit in the garage because of the heavy duty tools.
Over the course of 14 years I have worked off and on in cabinet shops and consider remodeling a part-time gig as we are on our second house flip. I have many loves in life. My first might include the outdoors and adventures. As a kid I wouldn't go anywhere without my He-Man sword tucked into the back of my shirt and a pair of yellow binoculars around my neck. Now, I enjoy mountain biking, hiking and a little top roping (rock climbing). I am also considered a "gear head" for I love outdoor gear whether it gets used or not. Above all, I enjoy spending time with my wife Christina and my new little daughter, Josie Joy.
I couldn't imagine doing anything but graphic design. It seemed like a good fit since I have always loved tech and art. I attended the competitive BFA program at the University of Utah. I paid for every penny of it while working in a custom cabinet shop and as an operations manager over two facilities. I gained design experience early on by working on small freelance projects and while working for the student government at the U of U as a designer.
I enjoy all types of media and love trying new things from traditional design to high tech and innovative platforms. Please reach out if you'd like to work together.
